Controlled atmosphere packaging (CAP) regulates the condition in which products are stored with a blend of oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide. This is maintained and monitored in order to improve the shelf life of products in a storage area or a distribution center. This process also determines the temperature and humidity of the packaging.
