History for Pack-date (history as of 10/01/2014 09:55:23)

Pack date is a term which is the date the product was made or packaged for sale. A pack date is usually found on perishable foods such as meat, poultry, eggs and dairy products.  Not only are pack dates found on perishable foods but on shelf-stable products such as cans and box food. Pack dates are placed on the product with either a code or sell-by date.
