The term over-wrap consists of product being wrapped with some type of flexible wrapping material. The flexible wrap could include aluminum foil, paper, heat sealable film, or stretch film.  Examples of over-wrapping are L sealing, sleeve wrapping, flow wrapping, four sided sealing, and vertical form fill and seal. Generally, when a product is to be over-wrapped with an overwrapping machine, the packaging is a heat sealable film wrapped around the product.
