This is an environmental certification and rating system for buildings. LEED includes both commercial and residential buildings. The system is provided by the U.S. Green Building Council www.usgbc.org. LEED gives benchmarks for construction, indoor environmental quality, building materials, design, water efficiency, energy efficiency, and site makeup.
