An inner pack is the smaller packet or sub-package found within a case pack used inside the container to support and protect the item or items in the container. It is one of a number of packs which are then stored in multiple containers and used to break down the larger case quantity into smaller, easier to handle, and easier to count quantities. This term, used on 4sgm.com, indicates the quantity of items in an inner pack. If Inner Pack is 0, it means there is no inner pack inside the case pack. The inner pack is one of a number of packs which are then stored in multiple containers, e.g. twenty individual cartons of cigarettes might be wrapped as a unit, a number of which are then packed in a fiberboard case.
