The Green Power Partnership is a voluntary program that “encourages organizations to buy green power as a way to reduce the environmental impacts associated with purchased electricity use”. Currently the organization has over 1500 partners that voluntarily purchase billions of kilowatt hours of sustainable green energy every year. Organizations include Fortune 500 companies, medium-sized businesses, as well as government and educational institutions.
