Ronald D. Southard
Ron is the founder and current CEO of Safesourcing Inc. with more than 40 years of experience working in a number of industries. Ron was formerly the President and CEO of Intesource, an internet based spend management company. Additionally, Ron served as the Executive Vice President at Trax Retail Solutions. Ron began his career in retail management following which he spent 25 years of his career at NCR Corporation, eventually serving as the Vice President and General Manager of the NCR Global Checkout Software business unit.
Ron holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and Bachelor of Science degree from Bridgewater State University in History and Psychology, respectively and has also completed certificate programs at the American School of International Management. Ron is also a U.S. Air Force certified inventory management specialist AFSC 645XO.
A well-known industry speaker and writer on a variety of subjects including technology, operations, risk management, the supply chain, and Sarbanes Oxley, Ron is a US Air Force Veteran, and is listed in the VIP section of Madison’s Who’s Who Executive Registry 2007.
Ron has been a featured guest on “World News Review” CNBC, Sky Radio and has been honored on multiple occasions as one of the industry’s “Pro’s to Know” by Supply & Demand Chain Executive Magazine. Ron is also the author of over 1,000 posts at The SafeSourcing Blog on a wide range of subjects regarding eProcurement and the entire procure to pay process. Ron has also been a guest blogger on other procurement focused blog sites and also published a number of white papers including “4 Tips and 3 Pitfalls to Avoid when Sourcing Professional Services”, “Safety in the Supply Chain, An Irony” and “Construction Sourcing with eProcurement Tools”.
Joseph E. Wenig
Joseph Wenig has been building, turning around, and creating multimillion-dollar growth for high-performing businesses throughout his career. Leveraging well-honed executive skills across all areas of business operations, he brings a legacy of success in customer acquisition, growth and retention for enterprise and SaaS organizations, including Fortune 500 companies like AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, and DirecTV, among many others.
Joe attributes much of his success to the teams he has built over his career. Self-described as a visionary, transformational leader who places a high priority in “putting people first.”
Most recently, Joe led as Vice President of Teradata Corporation, a global, publicly held international computer company with over $2.7B in revenue, employing over 11,000 employees. After being hand-selected to oversee the Global Services of the Marketing Applications division in 2013, managing a P&L budget of $58M, he engineered its successful turnaround and delivered $60M revenue, driving a nine-point gross margin increase and improved incident resolution rates by 35%. He continuously provided the vision, leadership, and direction of the global consulting and support for Marketing Applications division.
Inherent to his entrepreneurial leadership tenacity, Joe spearheaded the formation of Teradata’s consulting business, establishing the foundation for a 5,000-associate consulting firm, generating $650M in revenue. He formed and maintained strong strategic partnerships with Global 2000 clients, including Standard Chartered Bank, Isetan Mitsukoshi, Resona Bank, Vodafone, National Australia Bank, and Siam Commercial Bank.
Troy Lowe
Troy joined SafeSourcing in March of 2014 as Director of Development. During his ten years he has steadily progressed in his roles and responsibilities and now serves as the Vice President of Information Technology and Development.
As is the case with all SafeSourcing associates Troy also supports all of our sourcing activities and participates in every event that SafeSourcing hosts. Troy has participated in every stage of our “Eight Step Process” and provides his in-depth knowledge in the Information Technology space to support that category’s sourcing events.
Troy has more than 20 years’ experience working in several businesses within the procurement, loss prevention and retail industries.
Margaret Stewart
Margaret joined SafeSourcing in December of 2013 as the Executive Assistant to the CEO. Margaret has grown steadily in her areas of responsibility since that time and now serves as the Director of Human Resources and Administration, while also supporting all SafeSourcing procurement activities.
As is the case with all SafeSourcing associates Margaret also supports all of our sourcing activities and participates in every event that SafeSourcing hosts. Margaret regularly manages events herself through our “Eight Step Process” and has very deep category experience across many areas including all HR and Administration categories.
Margaret is an experienced and dedicated outside the box thinker, with a broad array of skillsets, deep customer service experience and the ability to maintain confidential and business relationships while providing top line service and support. Margaret regularly strengthens our team’s productivity levels by streamlining processes and assisting in an array of additional support and leadership roles.
Ivy Ray
Ivy Ray joined SafeSourcing in May of 2017 as an account manager in the customer services department and has progressed steadily during that time to her current role of Director of Procurement Event Services which is a testament to her strong supervisory and project management skills.
At SafeSourcing in her role as Director of Procurement Event Services, Ivy leads SafeSourcing’s cross functional approach to sourcing event services. Our team has thrived in delivering eProcurement solutions, contributing to the company's rapid growth within this expanding business field.
Ivy has a keen analytical acumen and very deep category experience that supports SafeSourcing’s industry leading “Eight Step Process” as a strategic approach to procurement services. Ivy has successfully managed thousands of eRFX initiatives, enhancing client satisfaction and operational efficiency. Ivy has a unique ability to synthesize complex data and lead cross functional teams effectively. Ivy has a very robust background in project management and procurement strategy.
