B2B (business-to-business) is the exchange of products, services, and/or information from one business to another, as opposed to business-to-consumer (B2C). B2B is frequently referred to as electronic e-commerce transactions between businesses. Although early interest centered on the growth of retailing on the internet (sometimes called e-tailing), forecasts are that B2B revenue will far exceed business-to-consumers (B2C) revenue in the near future. Businesses are now focusing on this strategy, and their web sites are aimed at businesses (think wholesale) and only other businesses can access or buy products on the site.
