Lead-Free Toys Act
No Comments Yet

The Lead-Free Toys Act of 2005 is intended to direct the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) to regulate any children’s product that contains lead. These products are then treated as a banned hazardous substance as defined by the Hazardous Substances Act. If the product is an electrical device and it is not feasible to reduce the lead, standard to reduce the exposure and a schedule to reduce the lead within the devices will be established.
